Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Submissions not complying with all standards will be returned;
  • The article's authorship must be removed from the work and from the file under the option “Properties” on Microsoft Word;
  • Tables, graphs and figures must present the corresponding legends, citing the full source;
  • Units of measurement must comply with the International System of Units (SI), elaborated by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) [www.bipm.org];
  • The author(s) is/are responsible for the article’s contents and authorize its publication.

Publication Warranty Disclaimer: Article submission does not warrant publication in the RGSA. The final decision on the publication will be based on the evaluation of the reviewers and the approval of the editorial committee of the Journal, according to established quality criteria.

Publication Fee Refund Policies: The RGSA has no publication fee refund policies, so once you pay the publication fee, no refund will be possible in any case.

By submitting an article, the author acknowledges and agrees to the terms of this disclaimer. In case of doubts or further information, the editorial team of the RGSA is available to help.

The article must be unpublished in Brazil or in another country, the preliminary version presented in annals of national and international scientific events not being considered a breach of originality;

• Aiming at internationalization, from 2022, articles accepted for publication, in Portuguese and Spanish, must have an English version;

•Due to the large number of submissions of theoretical articles, the RGSA will prioritize articles arising from empirical research;

•The article submitted to the RGSA will be primarily evaluated for its scientific merit;

• The article can be submitted in Portuguese, Spanish or English;

• The article must have a maximum of four authors;

• RGSA encourages participation, on a fast track basis, of the best articles presented at congresses in the area. It is noteworthy that these articles undergo double blind review and are subject to the same selection criteria adopted in relation to other texts;

• The article cannot be submitted for simultaneous evaluation in another journal;

• The Editor may or may not accept the article submitted for publication, in accordance with the journal's editorial policy;

• The Editor may suggest changes to the article both in terms of the content of the article and in relation to the adequacy of the text to the rules of writing and presentation (APA);

• Articles must be written in clear and objective language. The author should avoid colloquial language, jargon and technical terms without proper explanation;

• It is essential that the texts are submitted to proofreading in Portuguese, as articles with problems of this nature will be rejected;

• The texts must be accompanied, in a separate file, by a letter authorizing the publication and assignment of copyright;

The RGSA adopts the recommendations of the Manual of Good Practices for Scientific Publication, approved at the ANPAD Assembly, Curitiba, 28.05.2017. Replaces the first version, dated 25.09.2010. - the author who has an article in the evaluation process must not submit another until receiving the final evaluation of the submission; - each year, the fraction of articles originating from a given institution (that is, with at least one author, professor or student, linked to it) must not exceed 15% of the total number of articles published; and - more than one article by one author should not be published in the same year, regardless of his position in the authorship of the text. Although RGSA publishes articles that contribute to management practice, it is a journal aimed at the academic community. Therefore, papers dealing only with the application of management models and tools in organizations will not be accepted, or even the analysis of cases that do not contribute to the advancement of theoretical knowledge or empirical results that stimulate future research in the area. The theoretical foundation must be consistent, with up-to-date bibliographical research carried out in national and international journals that are important for the area of knowledge.

 

Publication Standards

• The file must be written in Microsoft Word or RTF format, and must not exceed 2MB;

• The text's writing and presentation must comply with the standards outlined by the APA. The text must be written with Times New Roman font, 12 pt, single-spaced and justified;

• For paragraphs, the first line of each paragraph should be indented 1.25cm and with single line spacing between paragraphs;

• The page layout must be A4 (29.7 x 21 cm), with the following margins: top (3 cm), left (3 cm), bottom (2 cm) and right (2 cm);

• The articles must have a minimum of 14 and maximum of 17 pages, including tables, notes and references;

• The following structure must be adopted when writing the article: title, abstract (in Portuguese), keywords (in Portuguese), abstract (in English), keywords (in English), introduction, theoretical framework, methodology, results and discussion, conclusion and references;

• The title of the text, and its sections, must be entirely written in capitals and the captions in small letters. Both should be typed in bold, with the corresponding Hindu-Arabic numbering;

• One cannot include a caption immediately after a title or caption; it is necessary to have at least one paragraph separating the two;

• Tables, graphs and figures must be included in the main document, in the sequence which they appear in the text and written in 10 pt;

The structured abstract must have a maximum of 250 words and highlight the objective, research method and main results; as well as the corresponding abstract, namely:

Purpose: describe the purpose of the study and research problem/question.

Theoretical framework: present the main theoretical bases that support the research.

Method: present the methodology used in the study, as well as the research techniques used.

Results and conclusion: present the main results and findings of the research.

Research implications: main managerial, academic and/or social contributions of the research.

Originality/value: describe the contribution of the study to the advancement of science in the area and/or socio-environmental management practices of organizations, aligned with the scope of RGSA.

Keywords: Minimum 4 and Maximum 6 keywords.

• The author(s) must choose four to six keywords, in both Portuguese and English, that indicate the work's content;

• Bold type should only be used in titles and captions;

• Foreign words must be written in Italic, and neologisms or unusual meanings must be enclosed in quotation marks;

• Notes should be avoided,but when used must explain and clarify in a succinct manner, and must not be mistaken by references, which should appear at the end of the next, in sequential Hindu-Arabic numbering;

• Articles must be grammatically accurate, for articles presenting problems of this nature will be rejected;

• Articles accepted for publication will be submitted to final editing, and orthographic and grammatical revision;

• The author(s) identification should not occur in the body of the text. On a separate page, the complete name(s) of the author(s) must be presented, accompanied by a brief résumé describing academic and/or professional experience, address, telephone and fax numbers, and emails;

• In the software OJS, adopted by the RGSA Journal , the author(s) will have the article automatically refused by the system if the exclusivity, originality and copyright clauses are not accepted;

• The OJS program records the entry date, and the steps for the evaluation and publication process, permitting the author(s) to automatically follow the article’s status through the system;

• The editor and/or any other individual or institution involved in the collegiate organs are not responsible for the opinions, ideas and concepts emitted in the published texts, these being the full responsibility of the author(s);

• The evaluations are filled in standardized evaluation forms, with spaces for personalized comments sent to the author(s) in case of conditional acceptance, correction(s) or refusal;
